Goblins, Ghosts and Witches, oh my!

My favorite time of the year is upon us!! Candy, ghosts, scaring little kids...what could be better? Here are some SPOOKtacular links to get you in the Halloween spirit (get it? spirit? mwuhahaha I'm so punny today).

Frightbytes - Ghost stories, e-cards, fun and interactive site
Bluelips - The best place on the net to find the fright gift for people with morbid minds!
Adopt a Demon - Adopt your very own demon - warning - they are NOT house broken!!
Bedlam Asylum - Want to commit your ex? Sick of your co-worker? Have them commited to Bedlam Asylum where their motto is, "Spare the (electro) rod, spoil the Lunatic"!
Spells-R-Us - Someone put a hex on you? You need a little extra magic in your life? Go here to find the spell you need, just remember the three-fold rule - whatever you do comes back on you x 3 - so watch where you point that wand! ;)
FBI's Most Wanted - now - if you want something to truly be afraid of, go to this link.

I was thinking of which movies I'd like to watch to up my scare factor. I went to imdb and found their list of the top horror movies. I disagree with a lot of the "tops" on the list. Alien and The Shining were for sure scary...but where was Audition? What about Blair Witch Project? Now clearly BWP is no good after the first viewing, but if you didn't read spoilers before seeing it, it left you trembling! The Exorcist still scares too much to watch alone. And then there are the creep factor movies like A Clockwork Orange and 28 Days Later? Let's not forget the slasher classics Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream, and the list goes on. For me though, the scariest thing ever put on film comes from The Wizard of Oz. Nothing makes me flinch and run like flying monkeys!!!

Oh Noes! Mr. T is back!

Some of my friends were being nostalgic and the Mr. T Power Hour came up in their discussion. I am sure they will be delighted to find out the following tidbit:

SERIES DEBUT
10-10:30PM I Pity the Fool (TV Land, TV-G) What exactly does Mr. T do in this new reality show? ''I'm just teaching fools some basic rules,'' he explains in the debut. ''And there's no shortage of fools who need my help.'' Roughly translated, that means he's aiding people that require his...um, unique services. Tonight, the A-Team star tries to pump up a bunch of car salespeople, stuffing himself into a trunk and spouting out lots of questionable motivational banter including the proclamation that ''You can't spell success without T.'' Roughly translated, that means...absolutely nothing. B- - Dalton Ross (c/p from TV Watch at ew.com)

And don't forget to watch this Mr. T classic rap about M-O-T-H-E-R!

2006 Must See TV

First off - if you haven't seen the South Park WoW epi - I highly reccomend dl'ing it and ohhhmiiiigawd - did I just rec a SP episode???!!?? Clearly there are dark forces at work here....

Anyway...here's my list of what to watch, what to miss, and what to catch in reruns...

Sunday - unless you're a chick (Desperate Housewives, Bro's & Ho's er I mean Brothers and Sisters) - Sunday night is a dude dud.

Monday

Prison Break - If you didn't get into it last season - go rent the dvd. It's Fugitive meets Band of Dysfunctional Brothers...

Justice**** - One of the best new shows of the season. Victor Garber (Syd's dad on Alias) is just frickin phenomenal - fun to watch and the show gives you the one payoff all other lawyer shows haven't - at the end of the episode they show you what really happened.

Heroes - It's just getting out of the gate - but so far it's been funny, gripping, and entertaining.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip **** - This is West Wing in Hollywood - West Wing writer Aaron Sorkin writes about life behind the scenes of a SNL type show - fantastic writing, fantastic cast (Matt Perry, Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet, one of the Wings boys - the other is on The Nine...)

Tuesday

NCIS - One of the few shows that makes geeks look cool... lol

VERONICA MARS ***** - Please watch this show - if you've never given it a shot try it. Stephen King, Joss Wheden, Keven Smith all rate this as their favorite current tv show..why? Because the writing is tighter than Marc's pants after eating at Joe's Crab's Shack!

L&O SVU - About 4 more epi's and they will be back on track.

CSI NY - What else is on?

Wednesday

Lost**** - Stick with it - JJ Abrahms has more than just a smoke monster up his sleeve this season...don't give up on them just yet - not getting an Emmy nod after winning the year before last woke up the writers and they are back on target.

The Nine**** - The new can't miss show of the season - if you missed the first epi dl it - it will be the watercooler show this year.

Jericho**** - Nuclear bombs, terrorist invasion, Skeet Ulrich - what's not to love?

Criminal Minds - Episode three and I think they've fired the writers and hired the writers Lost fired last year - it's sucked so far but I'm not giving up yet. "Wait..maybe we should check the basement.." Ya think, dumbass???

Bones - It's CSI meets Behind the Smithsonian meets Mulder & Scully if they'd been on regular FBI cases...

Thursday

Survivor - It still works - it still has some of the best suspense on tv - some of the best lines on tv - and yes, some of the best characters - you can't make this stuff up...

CSI - I <3 Gil Grissom...and now that he's banging Sara..zomg it pwns! Best season yet - Sam's dead (yay!!), Grissom & Sara hooked up (yay!!!) and finally they are getting back to crimes and omg they even had Danny Bonaduce as a guest star!!

Shark - James Woods - you either love him or hate him and this show makes him lovable in a, "Omg I can't believe he just said that" kind of way.

Supernatural - I'm catching the reruns this year - too much other tivo to catch up on during the week.

Friday

I tivo Ghost Whisperer, Numb3rs, L&O, and Las Vegas - still not sure if any are gonna make the must watch cut yet.

Saturday

GO TO BLOCKBUSTER!!

Well that's it - still waiting to see what's gonna make the cut this year. Still thoroughly pissed that Invasion got canceled. What about you guys - what have you seen so far and loved/hated? OH..and mark your calendar's...Jack Bauer will be back October 24th..only for a teaser for the January premier. Also semi hooked on Vanashed and Hostage - but they are almost interchagable....
